Not great service. Drinks are very expensive for a casino. The wait for breakfast was well over an hour, so we had to walk to broad beach for food.

Car park is busy we found a park eventually about 10minute walk from reception. No valet parking on offer. Rooms are however the air conditioning cuts noisily in and out all night.

When the receptionist found the receipt it was different room number and different name. However we have to wait days for the refund to come through.

Told can only visit casino if a member of their club. Asked if they were full and told that there was available space but they were saving it in case any members arrived.

The membership is free to anyone who applies but you have to have a plastic card with you. If you join the card takes until the next day to be ready for collection.

I stayed at Jupiters The Star recently for a four-day conference as it was conveniently attached to the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre.

The room was not bad as it looks like it had been recently renovated. It was clean and Covid-safe. OCT'20 The real issue was the inconsistent lack of food.

As an exhibitor we needed to be at the Exhibition Centre by AM and considering the Star promotes its convenience and association the convention centre, they had no breakfast places open before AM, so we were forced to use room service every day and a premium price point.

Bothe the coffee shop and bar was open in very few hours not convenient if you were working all day at the exhibition centre. They tried to promote their Star Club with discounted food in the Casino which was noisy, busy and the food standard even with the Star Club discount was not up to standard.

Moya in the pink dress, is an awesome host. Nice place for a drink and people watch. Just wandered over to the casino for a drink before dinner, nice cold beers, wine and gin and tonic.

All had to use QR code to sign in and when we wandered the wrong way trying to find our way out had to show our registration again.

Was a bit of a nuisance but I understand it was necessary in these times a d staff were professional but firm in keeping to rules.

I had a pizza that was alright and partner had calamari which she enjoyed. The casino itself was very quiet at lunchtime and we thought it was looking nicely renovated.
